An exhibition of drawings, water colours and engravings is being held at the Ġgantija Temples this year exhibiting some early illustrations from the 19th century of the temple.
Organised by Heritage Malta, the focus of this exhibit is the heritage that the Ġgantija Walls bring to the Maltese islands.
This event is being complemented with the launch of a new publication by Heritage Malta entitled ‘The Ġgantija Temples: a History of its Visitors and Views’ . The launch of the book has been specifically timed with the dates of this fascinating exhibition.
The exhibition will be on display at the Ġgantija Temples in Gozo between the 27th May 2011 and 27th July 2011. The opening hours of this exhibition are from Monday to Friday between 09.00 and 16.00 hrs. On Saturday, the exhibition will be open between 09.00 and 12.00 hrs but will be closed on a Sunday.
Tickets cost €8 for adults and €4 for children between the ages of 6 and 11 years old. Children under the age of 6 are admitted free of change and concession tickets can be purchased at €6 per person.
