Mgarr Ancient Trades

If you have been wondering what one can do when on holiday in Malta this week, why not take a visit to Mgarr for a re-enactment event where  wheat harvesting, threshing and winnowing will take place.   The event is being held on Friday 8th July from 6 pm till late evening.

Ġgantija Temples

  A prominent site on the South East of Gozo, the Ġgantija temples are the oldest free standing megalithic temples in the world.

Ġnejna Bay

Ġnejna Bay is a small bay located in the village of Mgarr, located on the west cost of Malta.  The beach is located in a secluded area just below a steep cliff.

Exhibitions at the Ġgantija Temples

An exhibition of drawings, water colours and engravings is being held at the Ġgantija Temples this year exhibiting some  early illustrations from the 19th century of the temple.

The Blue Lagoon

Hidden in a small inlet, situated  between the island of Comino and Cominetto, the Blue Lagoon is one of the most photogenic attractions in the Mediterranean. White sand and blue clear waters make up this beautiful lagoon, an image not to be missed.

Comino

Located between Malta and Gozo is the small picturesque island of Comino. Comino is the smallest inhabited island, only one square mile in size making up the Maltese archipelago.

Malta Jazz Festival 2011

Every year Malta hosts one of the largest jazz events displaying musicians from all over the world.  This year is no exception, but for those fans who love Jazz, the festival this year is being extended to 5 free concerts in 5 different venues on the island.

Isle of MTV 2011

The 2011 Isle of MTV Malta Special will be once again held in Malta for the 4th consecutive year on  June 30, at the Granaries (Fosos)Square in Floriana.  This event is one of the largest free open air concerts held in Malta and has an estimated 50,000 attendees.

The Old Prison
